kareena kapoor bikini shot- Does size really matter April 29, 2008

Filed under: Bollywood, India, Kareena Kapoor — Mazaqah @ 8:37 am

Kareena Kapoor’s ‘Size Zero’ look in her new movie ‘Tashan’ has drawn a lot of attention giving a fresh impetus to the debate on ’size zero’. Will the look be just a new fad or will it lead to dangerous trend among youngsters?

Kareena’s new look of 23 inches and 48 kgs makes a note that size does matter to make an
impression some times.

I frankly think the only reason she was able to pull it off was because of the beautiful setting and the camera work. To me she looks disgusting, you can see her ribs now that is not a healthy sign is it. Although her trainer maintains she did not go for any sorts of strict diet, according to her the key was eating good and sleeping properly but its blatened that she must have starved herself. The general public has not really taken shine too her new look, so it seems to be that skinny girls aren’t the desi cup of tea.

Kareena and Aamir Khan could tie-up with ICL March 11, 2008

If sources are to be believed, Zee group’s Indian Cricket League (ICL) has plans to rope in Aamir to promote their cricket venture.

The ICL is promoted by Subhash Chandra’s Essel Group, which also owns Zee TV. Apparently, it has realised that it is important to have a brand name like Aamir associated with the month-long Twenty-20 tournament, which started on March 9.

Kareena Kapoor is also likely to be a part of ICL. The actress had participated in a show last November to launch the ICL.

The BCCI’s (Board of Control for Cricket in India) rival venture IPL has already roped in SRK  and Preity Zinta; the former owns the Kolkata franchise while the latter the Mohali team.

“I will not take individual names of actors who will join the ICL, but I can say that talks are on with some of them,” said Ashish Kaul, executive vice-president, Essel group.

Asked specifically if Aamir and Kareena are joining the ICL, Kaul replied, “We are in the advance stages of discussion with some actors. I cannot name them. We have to see how good they will be to our league.”

Now Katrina is Saif’s ‘Sexy Lady’ March 2, 2008

Filed under: Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, saif Ali Khan — Mazaqah @ 4:59 am

Race, one of the hottest films this season, is around three weeks away from its release. Still, it’s producers TIPS and composer Pritam are leaving no stones unturned to ensure that the film not just stays in news but also take one of the biggest ever openings at the Box Office.

To keep the film hot in circulation and add on to the immense hype that this action/thriller has been generating, the makers have decided to add on a new song in Race. The song is special since it features Saif Ali Khan and now hot-n-happening Katrina Kaif who was the only leading lady to have enjoyed a cent percent record last year (Namastey London, Apne, Partner and Welcome). Moreover, the title of the song is nothing less than inviting as it reads – ‘Sexy Lady‘.

As per the film’s producer Ramesh Taurani (of TIPS), the song was added as it was found to be a good replacement for ‘Mujhpe To Jaado‘ which was yet to be shot. “We are thrilled with the great response to the title song ‘Race Sanson Ki’, ‘Pehli Nazar Mein‘ and ‘Zara Zara Touch Me‘. We wanted to keep the momentum going. When Pritam made us hear the tune of ‘Sexy Lady‘, we knew that this was the song for the film,” confirms Ramesh Taurani.

Adds Pritam, “‘Mujhpe To Jadoo‘ was anyways waiting to be picturized. Since Abbas-Mustan also felt that ‘Sexy Lady‘ could be a good replacement, everyone was in consensus with the decision.

Says a confident Taurani, “We are quite happy with the way Race is leading up to it’s March 21 release. The songs are doing quite well and are leading the charts all over. We would begin unleashing the talkie promos early March. They would be a mix of action and drama which forms the USP of the film.”

Meanwhile shooting of ‘Sexy Lady‘ is currently on and would be wrapped up in quick time so that the song is on air before the release of the film. Moreover, there won’t be much wait for the new edition of the music album of Race to arrive too. By first week of March, latest addition ‘Sexy Lady‘ is expected to be a part of the newer lots of Race that would be out on stands.

53rd Fair Film Fare awards were indeed a grand ceremony. However, one could not help but notice that only those stars were present at the gathering who won certain awards, those who didn’t win anything did not bother to turn up at the show.

The happiest of the lot were those who took home the lovely black lady – the Filmfare trophy. Shah Rukh, Kareena, Aamir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Tabu, Darsheel Safary, Konkona Sensharma, Irrfan Khan, AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan, Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone… had reason enough to celebrate.

These were the stars who brightened the Award Show, which was hosted at the Yash Raj studios.

The best part was when Sharukh and Saif got naughty using satirical remarks on people of the film industry. This duo are real wicked, but are loved by the audience.

These guys dressed up so whackily too, check them out in that blue wrap up !!!!!!

Happy were those who won the awards and they indeed had a blast that day.

I’d want Kareena in all my productions: Saif February 24, 2008

Filed under: Kareena Kapoor, saif Ali Khan — Mazaqah @ 5:03 pm

Mumbai, (IANS) Saif Ali Khan says although he would love to team up with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor in all his productions, he has made it clear that he has not been instrumental in getting her a role in his untitled venture.
“It’s entirely between Kareena and my business partner Dinesh Vijen. There was a verbal commitment between them for a couple of projects. Kareena and I don’t discuss business,” said Saif, who will be seen in Abbas-Mustan’s ready-to-release action thriller “Race”.

“It is entirely the directors’ prerogative and we sign up the stars they want,” Saif told IANS.

“Yes, I’d want Kareena and I to be in all our productions. But I’m not going to thrust our pair down producers’ throats. Of course, I’d like Kareena to be in every film I make. But my directors may have other plans,” he added.

After J.P. Dutta’s “LOC”, the two will be seen together in Yash Raj Films’ “Tashan”.

Saif has admitted his relationship with Kareena, who broke up with longstanding boyfriend Shahid Kapur. Saif also got ‘Kareena’ tattooed on his arm. Sadly, the famous arm has been injured. His hand was bandaged when he performed with a rock band in Bangalore and Mumbai last month.

“Yeah, I injured my right hand while shooting in Greece. I put a glass down too hard after a drink. And it broke in my hand. It’s no big deal. The only thing is that I can’t shake hands. Fortunately, it didn’t affect my guitar-playing,” said the actor whose “Ta Ra Rum Pum” and “Eklavya – The Royal Guard” bombed last year.

Saif says those who constantly ask him about the ‘Kareena’ tattoo annoy him.

“On the other hand, you can’t really blame them, I suppose it’s a big deal. So people will talk about it for sometime and then stop talking after a while. You got to remove yourself from the place of discomfort and look at it more dispassionately.”

He was aware that the media would focus on the tattoo rather than his music when he performed at the concerts. “Fortunately, the audience appreciated the music. Look, the limelight is a moving spotlight. Once in a while, you are caught in it.”

Couldn’t he get the tattoo done in a less visible place? After all, it’s all about Saif and his love. “No. It’s between me and my arm,” he shot back.

After the successful rock concerts, would Saif like to cut an album?

“No, can’t sing beyond the lower notes. I was in Alibaug to finish the last schedule of Kunal Kohli’s untitled film Jan 28 to Feb 3. We’re done with this film.”
